Haris Rauf accused of ball tampering during match against US

Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf has come under fire for alleged ball tampering following Pakistan’s surprising defeat to the United States (US) in the T20 World Cup on Thursday.

The accusations on Haris were made by US cricketer Rusty Theron, who voiced his concerns on social media. In a tweet posted on X (formerly Twitter), Theron alleged that Rauf attempted to tamper with the ball using his fingernails during the match

“Are we just going to pretend Pakistan isn’t scratching the hell out of this freshly changed ball?”

Theron tweeted, tagging the International Cricket Council (ICC). He questioned how the ball could start swinging drastically after just two overs, implying foul play.

The tweet now has been deleted.
