Actress Hania Aamir has become the latest victim of deepfake technology, with fabricated videos of her circulating on social media, prompting her to address the issue and raise awareness about the perils of AI-generated content.

On Wednesday, Aamir took to her Instagram account to share her concerns, posting a report about the deepfake videos and expressing her unease about the implications of such technology. “This AI stuff is scary. Can there be any laws in place?” she questioned, reflecting the growing anxiety surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in creating misleading content.

The deepfake videos reportedly depicted Hania Aamir in compromising scenarios, featuring her in a skirt, a cheetah-print shirt, and a crop top. However, the actress reassured her fans that the clips were fabricated and did not represent reality, stressing that they were products of AI manipulation.

This incident underscores the escalating concerns surrounding deepfakes within the entertainment industry, particularly as advancements in technology make such fabrications increasingly prevalent. In April, similar deepfake videos of Bollywood stars, including Aamir Khan and Ranveer Singh, emerged, creating fake content that threatened to disrupt the integrity of the Indian elections.
