A decision has been made to start spoken English classes in government schools.
The School Education Department has completed the groundwork for the implementation of spoken English classes.

In this regard, commissioners and deputy commissioners will regularly visit government schools while assistant commissioners of the respective districts will review the timetable for spoken English classes.
In the first phase, spoken English classes will be introduced in high schools.
The classes are expected to begin next month in October.
