Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang has arrived in Pakistan for a four-day visit. It is pertinent to mention that it is the first bilateral visit by any Chinese PM to the country in 11 years.

The Chinese PM was welcomed by top government officials at the Noor Khan Airbase upon his arrival. Li Qiang will attend the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held in Islamabad

During his visit, he will also hold meetings with Pakistan’s top civil and military leadership. He is accompanied by senior officials and China’s ministers of foreign affairs, commerce, the national development and reform commission, and international development cooperation agency.

The visit is regarded as a crucial move towards enhancing the high-quality development of CPEC and further solidifying the strong relationship between Pakistan and China. Both nations are anticipated to reiterate their mutual support on essential matters and bolster collaboration on major regional and global challenges.
