WEB DESK: The new petrol price in Pakistan from December 1, is expected to jump to Rs251.53 litre with an increase of Rs3.15 per litre.
The petrol price in Pakistan is expected to increase in the second-last fortnightly review of 2024, scheduled for November 30.
In the previous review on November 15, the petrol price remained unchanged at Rs248.38 per litre.
Similar to petrol price, the price of high speed diesel is expected to increase by Rs4 per litre. If the increase is approved, will jump to Rs259.14 from Rs255.14.
The new petrol price, will be effective from December 1 across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta and Peshawar.
The expected petrol price will be confirmed on November 30, when Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif will approve the summary which will be sent by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
There are no anticipations about the price of kerosene and Light Diesel Oil (LDO), but if the price of petrol and high-speed diesel increases, the price of other petroleum products will also go up.
Citizens wait for petrol prices because increases and decreases in fuel prices affect their commute costs. The fluctuation in petrol prices also affects the overall economy of the country.
Price of petroleum products are revised bi-monthly, after two fortnightly reviews scheduled every month.
