KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced the initiation of a free breakfast program in schools, ensuring that children receive breakfast at no cost.
Speaking alongside Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui in Karachi, he stated efforts are being made to address Karachi’s issues. Measures have been accelerated in Sindh province to alleviate poverty and unemployment.
While announcing the commencement of the free breakfast program, Kamran Tessori mentioned that initially, the program will start in 100 schools. Those schools that register will be facilitated accordingly.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui highlighted that they are voluntary and determined Pakistanis, aiding Karachi administrations. He expressed that Karachi didn’t need assistance from any government; the aim was to build Pakistan.
He further added that the literacy rate is dangerously low, with a generation growing up without proper nutrition. Poverty persists in Pakistan due to issues of distribution and disparity.
