FAISLABAD: Former minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul expressed her earnest desire to meet the party’s founder, Imran Khan, in jail. She revealed her attempts to visit Adiala Jail multiple times to meet Khan, but each time, officials turned her away without granting her access to the former premier.
Addressing reporters after her appearance before the Duty Judge of the District and Sessions Judge, Javed ul Hasan Chishti, in relation to the May 9 vandalism case, Zartaj Gul shared her intentions and frustration regarding the matter.
During the court proceedings, Zartaj Gul was instructed to participate in the investigation and her bail was extended until May 4, 2024.
Zartaj Gul, while talking to the media, reiterated her desire for a meeting with Imran Khan, expressing confidence that her wish would eventually come to fruition.

Meanwhile, she criticised the performance of the Punjab provincial government, stating that the responsibility of overseeing basic tasks, such as monitoring rotis in the tandoor, lies with magistrates or assistant commissioners, not with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Furthermore, Gul also likened the actions of the Punjab CM to those of TikTokers, suggesting a failure in efficiently managing the affairs of the province. Additionally, she criticised the federal government for its inability to control the rising prices of essential commodities such as electricity, gas, and petrol.
