ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar stated that PTI wants to continue negotiations with the government, but if the judicial commission is not formed within seven days, his party will not attend the fourth meeting.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar criticized Irfan Siddiqui, the government committee’s spokesperson. He said Siddiqui should not delay the process.

Irfan Siddiqui had criticised after Barrister Gohar confirmed that he held direct talks with Army Chief General Asim Munir and said that talks can’t run through multiple doors at once.

The PTI Chairman said that the recent meeting focused on law and order, and this issue should not derail talks.

He added that the government appears nervous because it operates like a Form 47 government.

He urged the government to prioritize negotiations. He believes successful talks mean success for Pakistan.

Barrister Gohar emphasized the need for patience and tolerance during negotiations. He advised against rushing and called for a steady approach.

Regarding Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, he clarified that invitations were not sent through official channels. Invitations are handled by Trump’s election committee.

He said that founding chairman Imran Khan has said talks with the government will not be held if the judicial commission is not formed within seven days to probe the May 9 riots and November 26 protest violence.
