ISLAMABAD: The federal government has released the calendar of public and optional holidays for the year 2025.
The public holiday schedule for 2025 covers national, Islamic, and minority festivals.
A notification issued by the Cabinet Division outlines the dates for holidays to be observed throughout the next year.
As per the public holiday calendar, the first holiday will be on February 5, followed by Pakistan Day on March 23.
The government is expected to announce three holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr in March, while May 1 will be observed as Labour Day.
Youm-e-Takbeer on May 28 will also be a holiday.

Holidays for Eid-ul-Azha will follow, with Ashura observed on Muharram 9 and 10 falling on July 5 and 6.
Independence Day will be celebrated on August 14 and will also be a holiday.
