DALLAS: Pakistani dramas have yet again become a hot-talk across the globe.
During a charity event arranged by 3Sixty Entertainment in Dallas, Texas, actress Neelam Kothari Soni from India’s film industry and popularly known for the Netflix reality show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives answered many questions from attendees.
A Pakistani-American spectator questioned Neelam about what she thought was the reason Pakistani dramas were so special for Indian audiences, to which Neelam replied, “Perhaps there is some success behind the Pakistani drama, some great stories as well as emotional connections.
Brilliant performances by actors and true dialogues make it unique,” she replied.
The Khudgarz star revealed that she has also watched various Pakistani dramas, especially during the period of Covid-19 lockdown. “I am a fan of Fawad Khan; he is an amazing actor,” she said.
Apart from that, Neelam captured some interesting insights and behind-the-scenes of Fabulous Lives versus Bollywood Wives by candidly stating how the Netflix reality show materialized because of Karan Johar’s vision.
“We ladies were talking too much about fashion and dressing, and Karan made a joke at that time, ‘You all are nuts!’ and that is when it hit him to make the show,” Neelam told her audience.
Explaining further, she said, “Everything is real. Although some part is edited to present the story more effectively, everything in a reality show is real.” Thus, she mentioned reality shows’ integrity, a statement on how unlike the others, appearing on reality shows is not easy as nothing is planned.
Neelam Kothari Soni ended her talk with gratitude to the audience by saying, “This show has become an important part of my life, and I will always be grateful to Karan Johar for giving us this incredible opportunity.”
