As Pakistan prepares to host the Champions Trophy 2025, a proposal has been forwarded to hold two poll matches featuring India at two venues.

According to GeoTV citing reports from Indian media, the proposal has been introduced by ICC broadcasters, who also happen to be the official broadcasting partners for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (ICC).

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has no reservations about the two-venue proposal, per reports, as it has suggested holding a match in Rawalpindi.

The PCB had previously suggested holding poll matches featuring the Indian cricket team in Lahore, but the broadcaster has proposed adding another venue keeping in view the Indian cricket team’s travelling schedule.

The current schedule states that India is supposed to play three matches in Lahore against Bangladesh (on Feb. 20) and New Zealand (on Feb. 23).

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan is expected to take on archrival India in a high-voltage match on March 1, 2025.
