A new scheme is being introduced, allowing users to apply for custom number plates.
According to details, car enthusiasts often desire unique and interesting license plates, with many willing to spend large amounts to obtain their preferred numbers or series.
Director General Excise, Faisal Fareed, announced that this scheme will be launched following the approval of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The issuance of number plates will be done through a computerized auction system.
Customized computerized number plates
The scheme offers three categories:
Corporate Category: Companies can have their names displayed on the number plates.
Platinum Category: Vehicle owners can have their names or the names of loved ones engraved.
Gold Category: Owners can select three preferred letters and three digits for their plates.
It is important to note that any words or numbers that promote religious, political, or social hatred will not be permitted, as clarified by the DG Excise.
