The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power outages for Tuesday, September 24, across various regions, citing essential maintenance and development activities.
As per media reports, the outages are expected to last from 7 am to 12 pm, affecting several key areas in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, and Chakwal.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the power suspension will impact multiple feeders in the Islamabad Circle, including Sohan, Faizabad Housing Society, I-8/4, Dheala, Kirpa, Farash Town, Tufail Shaheed, Jhang Syedan, Sharifabad, Khanna East, Rehman Enclave, Qaderpur, Waheedabad, Tiramiri, Ghori Garden, and Suhadran Road.

In the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, areas affected include Dhamial-I, Lalkarti, UC Lakhan, Shah Jeevan, Gulshan Saeed, Mehboob Shaheed, Park View, Pindi Board, Jail Park, and Car Chowk. Similarly, the Rawalpindi City Circle will experience disruptions in Muzamal Town, Service Road, Muslim Town, Dhok Hassua, Alamabad, Rata, Khanna II, Al Noor, Azharabad, Raja Sultan, Sardar Bagh, Eid Gah, Dhok Najo, Ali Market, Khayban Sir Syed, and Muhammadi Chowk.
Wider impact across Jhelum and Chakwal
The power suspension will also extend to the Jhelum Circle, affecting Islampura, Kangar, Qazia, and Colonel Muhammad Akram feeders. In the Chakwal Circle, areas including Dera Muslim, Daulatala, Rizwan Mill, Al Qadir Mill, Chakral, Sarkal, Sarpak, Islamia Chowk, Lilla, PD Khan, and KS Maniz feeders are expected to experience outages.
IESCO advised residents in these areas to prepare for the disruptions and assured them that the maintenance work is critical for ensuring a more stable power supply in the future.
