Rawalpindi court has restrained the police from harassing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.
While hearing a petition against the harassment of PTI workers, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Wasim Anjum remarked that holding and attending peaceful rallies is a fundamental right of citizens under the constitution and the law.

Moreover, the court directed Rawalpindi police to ensure that there are no obstacles in the way of workers heading to the rally.
In addition, the petition mentioned complaints of harassment against PTI workers. The Additional District and Sessions Judge ordered the police to issue clear instructions to all Station House Officers (SHOs).
Furthermore, it should be noted that the petition was filed by Rizwan Awan, President of the Insaf Lawyers Forum, highlighting the issues of workers’ freedom and security.
