A blog published in the Times of Israel, a leading Israeli newspaper, has suggested that Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is the most suitable figure to initiate diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Israel.

This claim has generated significant debate, considering the historically tense relations between the two nations.

The post, authored by Belgian blogger Aynur Bashirova, alluded to Imran Khan’s alleged connections with Israel. Bashirova claimed that Khan had reportedly sent messages to Israeli officials through the Goldsmith family, expressing an openness to explore normalisation of relations.

The blogger highlighted Khan’s close ties with the Goldsmith family as a potential factor influencing his changing stance on Israel. The article further emphasised that Khan’s unique position, relationships, and strategic vision could pave the way for diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Israel.

In addition, the blog argues that Khan’s global experience and connections could help bridge the gap between the Islamic world and the West.

Furthermore, Bashirova also advocated for Khan to be allowed to re-engage in Pakistani politics, suggesting that his leadership could significantly reshape Pakistan’s foreign policy towards Israel.
