The federal government has declared Tuesday, September 17, a public holiday in observance of Eid Miladun Nabi.

This announcement, made through an official notification from the Cabinet Division, allows citizens across Pakistan to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On this day, all government, semi-government, and private offices, including banks, schools, and colleges, will remain closed.

Earlier, on September 4, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, announced that the moon for Rabiul Awwal was not sighted, confirming the 1st of Rabiul Awwal on September 6 and Eid Miladun Nabi on September 17.

The Punjab government has declared Tuesday, September 17, as a public holiday in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
