ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education, in partnership with the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, has launched an initiative to introduce evening classes in schools across Islamabad.

According to media reports, the programme, designed to boost enrollment and retention rates, aims to address the educational needs of children unable to attend traditional daytime sessions.

The newly introduced evening classes are tailored for children who, due to various circumstances, are unable to participate in regular school hours. This includes those engaged in daytime work, burdened with family responsibilities, or requiring additional academic support.

The initiative offers these students a flexible learning schedule, ensuring their educational journey is not interrupted.

To bolster the effort, participating schools will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including IT labs, smart classrooms, and robotic labs, enabling students to access advanced technology and practical learning experiences. Experienced and qualified teachers will lead these evening sessions, supported by well-stocked libraries to cultivate a robust educational environment.

Furthermore, the initiative aligns with the Ministry’s broader vision of making education universally accessible, regardless of socio-economic barriers.
