SEOUL: K-pop sensation Jimin, a member of the globally renowned boy band BTS, has achieved a significant milestone on Spotify with his latest solo song, “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band.”
Released on June 28, the track has become the fastest K-pop song of the year to reach 50 million streams, achieving this feat in just nine days since its release.
As of Tuesday, “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” has amassed over 64 million streams in just 11 days.
Upon its debut, the song debuted at number four on Spotify’s Daily Top Song Global Chart, garnering an impressive 8.64 million streams on its first day.
The song continued its success into the first week of July, accumulating 42.9 million streams on the Weekly Song Chart, marking it as one of the biggest hits among this year’s K-pop releases.
“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” serves as a preview of Jimin’s upcoming second solo album titled MUSE, slated for official release on July 19. The album, centered around the theme of love, promises to unveil Jimin’s personal journey in search of creative inspiration.
