WEB DESK: With the launch of its SU7 model, Xiaomi has sparked a wave of interest in the electric car industry.
Originally targeting 100,000 units for 2024, Xiaomi has swiftly revised its production goals due to overwhelming demand. Now aiming to deliver a minimum of 10,000 SU7s monthly from June onward, the company eyes an impressive total of 120,000 units by year-end.
The SU7’s popularity is evident, with Xiaomi securing 88,063 orders as of April 30, and April deliveries hitting 7,058 units. May saw another milestone with the 10,000th SU7 delivered, reinforcing Xiaomi’s rapid rise in the EV market.

To meet surging demand, Xiaomi is ramping up production. Their Beijing factory will switch to double-shift operations in June, doubling daily production hours to 16, with monthly capacity expected to soar to nearly 20,000 units.
Priced competitively with impressive specifications, the SU7 offers three versions: standard, Pro, and Max. Sales of the standard and Max versions began in April, with the Pro version joining in early May.
