WWE’s iconic Monday Night Raw will make its debut on Netflix on January 6, 2024, at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET, broadcasting live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The highly anticipated move marks the beginning of a new era for WWE content on the streaming platform, following a groundbreaking partnership earlier this year.

The announcement was made during an electrifying moment at ComplexCon in Las Vegas, where WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque joined artist Travis Scott on stage. Scott, who is set to appear at the January 6 premiere, also revealed that his new music will serve as the theme song for Monday Night Raw.

Netflix’s $5 billion deal with WWE

In a landmark move, Netflix secured a 10-year deal worth over $5 billion with WWE, making the streaming platform the exclusive home for Monday Night Raw in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Latin America. As part of the deal, Netflix will also expand its access to other WWE properties, gradually adding more territories across its global footprint of over 190 countries.

Previously aired on USA Network, Monday Night Raw has been a staple of American television since its debut in January 1993. With this deal, Netflix will become the go-to destination for WWE content outside the U.S., including weekly shows SmackDown and NXT, as well as live events such as WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble.

Additionally, WWE’s extensive library of documentaries, original series, and upcoming projects will be available on demand to international audiences.

WWE star-studded premiere lineup

The premiere episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix will feature a star-studded lineup, with WWE legends like John Cena, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Bianca Belair, alongside many surprise guest appearances.

This deal represents a major shift for WWE’s digital distribution strategy, expanding its reach and bringing its live-action sports-entertainment programming to a wider audience on Netflix’s global platform. While Peacock retains domestic rights for WWE content in the U.S., Netflix’s global expansion signals a new chapter for both brands in the digital age.
