The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has declared an extension with regard to the issue of the seasonal work visas.
What are the new rules for work visas?
This change will enable work visa holders to stay for up to 90 days and extend the trip for 90 further days. Nevertheless, the holder must exit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before the end of this period.
It also does not enable the holder to conduct Hajj. This work visa also cannot be transferred into a temporary work visa to another work or into a permanent work visa.
For the obtaining the work visa, the person must take employment contract signed together with the mandatory medical insurance through the Saudi embassies and consulates.
According to reports, companies caught selling temporary work visas may face fines of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals, and can be blacklisted.
Earlier this month, the Saudi government approved organisational regulations for temporary labour visas.
Hajj 2025:
In another news, the federal cabinet of Pakistan has given its approval to the Hajj Policy for 2025.
According to the new policy, the official package to perform Hajj next year ranges between Rs1,075,000 and Rs1,175,000.
Pakistanis will have two options fo Hajj: a long one, which will take between 38-42 days and a short Hajj one, which will take between 20-25 days.
