WASHINGTON: President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday night he plans to nominate Linda McMahon, the co-chair of his transition team, to lead the Education Department in his second administration.

After winning the presidential elections, Donald Trump’s nominations for his cabinet are continuing and in this regard, Donald Trump has taken another surprising step by appointing the former CEO and co-founder of WWE, Linda McMahon, as the Secretary of Education.

Linda McMahon is a former Trump ally and Transition Co-Chair, is a Republican Party donor, and was part of the Small Business Administration in the previous Trump administration.

After appointing Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education, Trump said McMahon will use her decades of leadership experience, and deep understanding of both education and business to empower the next generation of American students and workers.

It should be noted that earlier, Trump nominated Mehmet Oz, a famous doctor and former television host, as the head of the Central Health Department, while Howard Lutnick was nominated as the Secretary of Commerce.

Also, Twitter owner Elon Musk has been nominated by Trump to head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
