The Indian High Commission has issued visas to a total of 82 Pakistanis for Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya’s urs in Delhi.

The five-day urs is currently taking place in India and the Pakistani pilgrims travelled via the Wagah Border.

In the past, the Indian High Commission refused to grant visas to Pakistanis on several occasions.

Last week, Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar visited Pakistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.

During the summit, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Jaishankar also met and shook hands.

Is the Indian cricket team coming to Pakistan?

In other news, according to a report, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) offered that the Indian cricket team can fly back to their country after every Champions trophy game. However, the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) dismissed this proposal.

It is pertinent to mention that no formal decision has been made on whether India will travel to Pakistan or not.

The tournament will take place in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi from February 19 to March 9, 2025.

India last toured Pakistan in 2008 for the Asia Cup, but political tensions between the two countries have prevented bilateral cricket ties ever since. Currently, the teams only meet during ICC events.
