Heir to a pie company fortune, Dylan Thomas was found guilty of the murder of his best friend, William Bush, reported by BBC.

He was given a life sentence. According to the media site, Thomas used a flick knife and a large kitchen knife to stab Bush 37 times in their shared Llandaff, Cardiff, house.

Thomas had looked up the neck’s anatomy online hours prior to the incident. He denied murder but admitted manslaughter.

Thomas’s grandma, Sharon Burton, drove him to the residence on the day of the murder. Once there, he took the knives, went into Bush’s bedroom, and began the murderous assault. People walking by said they heard “screams of horror” coming from the residence.

Following the assault, Thomas said that Bush had “gone mental” and stabbed him, calling 999. But according to the prosecution, it was a planned attack. Judge Steyn called the murder “particularly terrifying,” pointing out that Bush was assaulted by a trusted individual in the privacy of his bedroom.

Bush’s girlfriend and his distraught family testified in court. His father, John, stated that the family’s lives had been “profoundly” altered, while his sister, Catrin, called the murder “barbaric and cruel.” Speaking of losing the future they had planned together, Bush’s girlfriend Ella Jefferies referred to him as “the love of my life”.

According to reports, Dylan Thomas had been schizophrenic for months before to the murder, his defence team said he regretted not getting mental help.
