Sheikh Hasina’s government has offered unconditional negotiations to the students, which the students have rejected until their demands are met.

In addition, protesters are demanding a public apology from Sheikh Hasina for the police crackdown, reopening all universities, and justice and compensation for the victims of the crackdown.

Furthermore, last month, over 200 protesters were killed in violent protests against the quota system in Bangladesh.
