ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education issued an official notification on Monday announcing the updated winter schedule for schools and colleges in the federal region.
According to the notification, single-shift schools will operate from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, while on Fridays, the timings will be from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
For double-shift schools, the first shift will operate from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, while the second shift will be held from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
The classes for Pre-I (Montessori/Prep) will be held from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while postgraduate colleges will operate from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with an extension to 4:00 PM if required. Additionally, Saturday remedial classes will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
These timings will be in effect from 1st December to 31st January.
These changes have been implemented to better accommodate the winter season, as mentioned in the notification.
