TEXAS: Democrat Salman Bhojani has won the Texas State Assembly seat. He was elected to the state assembly unopposed.

Pakistani-American Salman Bhojani has secured a second term in the Texas State Assembly. Representing District 92 as a Democrat, Bhojani, first assumed office on January 10, 2023.

In the 2022 election, he defeated Republican challenger Joe Livingston with a margin of around 6 thousand votes. He grabbed 20,182 votes to Livingston’s 14,610.

This year, Bhojani ran unopposed within his party, due to his previous strong performance and solid support.

Salman Bhojani is Pakistani-American national, who hails from Karachi.

Bhojani is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and holds a law degree from Southern Methodist University. His career includes roles as an attorney and as a member of the city council.

In this election, no Republican candidate contested his seat in the recent election, allowing him to secure his second term without opposition.

Throughout his campaign, Bhojani emphasized the significance of local and state elections, encouraging the Pakistani-American community to recognize their power and influence through voting.

In the US Presidential election, Republican Donald Trump is leading with 232 electoral votes, while Harris secured 212. Trump and Harris each need at least 270 electoral votes to make it to the White House.

Donald Trump won 24 states while Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, hoping to become the first woman elected president, captured 17 states.
