Cyclone Asna moved away from Pakistan’s coastline on Saturday, about 200 kilometers from Karachi.
As of 8am on Saturday, according to Zoom Earth and the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), the storm was 187 kilometers southwest of Karachi and had been travelling west-northwest at 13 kilometers per hour over the past six hours.

Although the cyclone is moving away from Karachi, coastal areas in Pakistan are still expected to experience rainfall this weekend.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the cyclone would cause widespread rains and thunderstorms in Karachi, Tharparkar, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allah Yar, Matiari, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Dadu and Shaheed Benazirabad districts on Saturday (today).
