WhatsApp is set to unveil an exciting update in the coming weeks that will enhance the video calling experience for users on both Android and iOS platforms.

The upcoming features will introduce ten new customisable backgrounds and ten engaging filters, allowing users to personalise their video calls.

The new backgrounds will include a variety of options such as Blur, Living Room, Office, Cafe, Pebbles, Foodie, Smoosh, Beach, Sunset, Celebration, and Forest. Additionally, users will be able to choose from an array of filters, including Warm, Cool, Black & White, Light Leak, Dreamy, Prism Light, Fisheye, Vintage TV, Frosted Glass, and Duo Tone.

In conjunction with the backgrounds and filters, WhatsApp will also introduce two innovative features—‘Touch Up’ and ‘Low Light.’ These enhancements are designed to improve users’ appearance and increase brightness during video calls, ensuring they look their best even in poorly lit environments.

As the demand for engaging digital communication continues to rise, these features are expected to significantly enhance user experience on the popular messaging platform.
