A food delivery rider has been arrested in the Kharadar area for allegedly stealing a customer’s motorcycle following a delivery.
SSP Arif Aslam Rao reported that police have successfully recovered two stolen motorcycles from the suspect. The theft occurred on August 30 when Naveed, accompanied by an accomplice, allegedly stole the motorcycle after completing a food delivery. The arrest followed a review of CCTV footage, which captured the suspect committing the crime.
Investigations have revealed that Naveed is a repeat offender with a history of criminal activity. SSP Rao noted that this arrest marks Naveed’s sixth involvement in similar offenses, having previously served jail time for comparable crimes.

The police are actively pursuing leads to identify and apprehend Naveed’s accomplice while also exploring potential links to other thefts in the area. The recovery of the stolen motorcycles is considered a significant development in efforts to address the increasing trend of motorcycle thefts, particularly those involving delivery riders.
