The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) posted modest gains against the US Dollar (USD) as the interbank market closed for the week.
After opening at Rs278, the appreciated by 0.08 percent, gaining 22 paisas, and settled at Rs277.51 by the end of the trading session. The rupee remained stable throughout the day, fluctuating minimally between Rs277 and Rs278 in both the interbank and open markets.

In addition to gains against the USD, the PKR also strengthened against several other major currencies. It appreciated by 6 paisas against the UAE Dirham (AED) and 12 paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR). The rupee gained 43 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD), 78 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD), and 81 paisas against the Euro (EUR). However, the British Pound (GBP) saw an increase, with the PKR losing 95 paisas.
So far, the rupee has appreciated by 0.33 percent on a fiscal year-to-date basis, reflecting relative stability in the currency market.
