WEB DESK: The US Congress has passed a resolution condemning the suppression of public participation in democracy in Pakistan.
The resolution, presented by Republican Rich McCormick and Congressman Dan Kildee, approved five points, including support for democracy, protection of human rights, freedom of expression, and ensuring public participation in the democratic process.

Furthermore, the resolution urges the US President and Secretary of State to work with the Pakistani government to ensure democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. It calls on the Pakistani government to uphold democratic institutions, human rights, and the rule of law, and to respect the fundamental rights of the Pakistani people, including freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and freedom of expression.
