Major Sania Safdar and Major Komal Masood, two female officers from Pakistan, have been recognized with the prestigious Gender Advocacy Award by the UN Department of Peace Operations. The award was presented at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Major Sania Safdar served in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus, while Major Komal Masood was deployed in the Central African Republic. Their contributions have been praised for promoting women’s involvement in peacekeeping and advancing the values of the United Nations.
