At least two Frontier Constabulary personnel were martyred after the terrorists opened fire on an FC vehicle in the Daraban Police Station area in Dera Ismail Khan district, an Interior Ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday.
According to the spokesperson’s statement, two FC soldiers fought bravely and achieved martyrdom, while four soldiers were also injured in the attack. The martyred soldier Sher Rahman belonged to South Waziristan and Syed Amin to Swabi Gadoon.
The injured soldiers include Havaldar Imtiaz, Sepoy Mahib Shah, Sepoy Sahib Din, and Sepoy Fazal Karim. All four injured soldiers have been shifted to the hospital for treatment, the statement read.
The Ministry of Interior’s spokesperson said that the Frontier Constabulary is determined to thwart the nefarious designs of terrorists. “The sacrifices of FC soldiers reflect their unwavering resolve in the fight against terrorism,” it reads.
