The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have arrested two TikTokers in South Waziristan Lower district after they were seen throwing a blind and elderly person into floodwaters for a TikTok video.
According to details, District Police Officer (DPO) Farmanullah took immediate action after the matter was brought to his attention and ordered the arrest of both the individuals. They were arrested on Sunday and later taken to the Wana City Police Station.
The video had been watched and shared thousands of times on social media, with netizens calling for strict action to be taken against both the TikTokers. The condemnable act happened in the Zarmelon area of Toi Khullah tehsil.
The police officials launched an investigation into the matter upon the orders of the DPO. Both accused admitted that they were involved in throwing the blind and elderly person into floodwaters for a TikTok video.

It is pertinent to mention that the craze for gaining followers, views and likes on the social media platform has claimed the lives of numerous individuals. There have been consistent calls from different section of society to ban the application in Pakistan.
