By As cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the highly anticipated showdown between India and Pakistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup, ticket prices for the clash between these arch-rivals have nearly doubled as the mega event draws closer.
According to reports, ticket prices for the match have skyrocketed to $2,500 (approximately Rs 7 lac), compared to the previous price of $1,300 (Rs 3.6 lac).
This surge in prices comes as a result of a significant demand from the Pakistani and Indian fans residing in the US and Canada.
It’s worth noting that India has emerged victorious in six out of seven encounters against Pakistan in T20 World Cup matches, including notable wins in the final in 2007 and most recently in Melbourne in 2022.
The T20 World Cup will unfold across three venues in the US and six in the West Indies, spanning from June 1 to 29.
Meanwhile, the clash between India and Pakistan is set to take place on June 9 in New York.
