YouTube unveils enhanced tool for creators to easily remove copyrighted music from videos.

Neal Mohan, CEO of YouTube, announced the updated Erase Song tool designed to selectively delete copyrighted music while preserving other audio elements in videos.

YouTube has been experimenting with the tool, which now leverages AI to precisely identify and remove copyrighted music from videos without affecting dialogue or sound effects. However, YouTube advises that in some cases, particularly challenging songs may not be completely erased by the algorithm.

In such instances, creators have the option to mute audio in the claimed segments or trim them out to resolve copyright issues flagged by YouTube’s detection system
