ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) in its latest report revealed that Facebook users in Pakistan have crossed 60.4 million.
According to the PTA’s January 2024 data, YouTube is at the top with 71.1 million with 72 per cent male and 28 per cent female users.
As per the PTA report, Pakistanis have made 60.4 million profiles on Facebook by January 2024 with a 77 per cent male and 24 per cent female gender ratio.
TikTok, one of the fastest-growing social media platforms in the country, gained 54.4 million users by January 2024. The male TikTok users stand at 78 per cent and the number of female TikTok users remain 22 percent, the report said.
Furthermore, PTA revealed that Instagram has 17.3 million users, the last in the list of the top four platforms. The number of male users on the platform is 64 per cent and 36 per cent of females.
Earlier in July, the telecom authority also revealed a report showing that social media users in Pakistan have crossed 303 million in total.
According to the PTA’s July 2024 data, Pakistani has 303.21 million profiles across several social media platforms, a substantial rise of 86 million as compared to 217.1 million users in January 2023.
