BEIJING: A report stated that over 60 percent of China’s population possesses primary or higher levels of digital literacy and skills.
According to the survey report on the Development Level of National Digital Literacy and Skills, over 60% of China’s population has attained primary or higher levels of digital literacy and skills. Compiled under the guidance of the Cyberspace Administration of China, the report indicates that 60.61% of adults and 64.69% of minors meet these standards.

The report categorizes digital literacy and skills into three tiers: primary, intermediate, and advanced.
This classification is based on citizens’ digital understanding, application abilities, and mindset in their daily lives, at work, and in education.
Moreover, the findings show a positive relationship between digital literacy and higher educational attainment.
