Meta is reportedly preparing to enhance its Threads app with a new feature that would enable users to share comments from Instagram posts directly to Threads.
This development was highlighted by Alessandro Paluzzi, a prominent reverse engineer who frequently uncovers forthcoming features in Meta’s social media applications.
Paluzzi has revealed an image indicating that a new dropdown menu may appear when commenting on Instagram posts. This menu would offer users the option to share their comments solely on Instagram or also on Threads.

Meta integrates Threads with Instagram, Facebook?
Meta has previously taken steps to integrate Threads with its other platforms, such as displaying Threads posts on Instagram and Facebook—though users later gained the ability to opt out of these cross-posts.
Notably, Threads, akin to Twitter in its format, does not feature its own direct messaging system; however, users can still send and receive messages through Instagram.
The broader objective for Meta involves the gradual integration of Threads with the fediverse, a decentralized network of social media platforms. Recent initiatives include allowing users to view replies from the fediverse on their Threads posts and, more recently, to access other posts from this network.
