UN passes resolution granting Palestine new rights
The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) passed a resolution on Friday granting Palestine new rights and privileges and urging the Security Council to reconsider its request for full United Nations membership. The assembly adopted a resolution with 143 votes in favor and nine against, including the United States and Israel.
