Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government increases minimum wage
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has approved a minimum wage increase to Rs36,000 per month and the creation of 791 new police positions in Tank and Lakki Marwat to strengthen local law enforcement. The provincial cabinet also authorized the addition of 16 prosecutor positions in the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) to handle terrorism
Federal govt grants special allowance to low-salary employees
The Federal Ministry of Finance has issued a notification to set the minimum salary or wages at 37 thousand rupees per month. According to the notification of the Ministry of Finance, from July 1, 2024, the minimum salary has been fixed at 37 thousand rupees instead of 32 thousand rupees.
