Peshawar passes bill against animal cruelty, overloading penalties
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has approved a significant bill aimed at protecting animals in the province, designed to curb violence and cruelty against them. Under this new law, those found guilty of animal abuse or overloading animals will face up to six months in prison and a fine of Rs100,000.

A camel, subjected to a horrifying act of cruelty where its leg was amputated by a landowner in Sanghar, has been relocated to a non-governmental organisation (NGO) shelter in Karachi.
