T20 World Cup: Pakistan’s target of 160 runs against USA

WEB DESK: Pakistan set a target of 161 runs to win against USA in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Pakistan played their first match in T20 World Cup 2024 against USA. USA won the toss of the match and decided to field first.

The Pakistan team appeared to be suffering from difficulties against the American team at the beginning of the match and the first three wickets of Pakistan fell to just 26 runs, Muhammad Rizwan 9, Usman Khan 3 while Fakhr Zaman had returned to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs.

The skipper  Babar Azam and Shadab Khan scored 72 runs in the fourth wicket partnership and Shadab Khan got out after scoring 40 runs off 25 balls. The incoming batsman Azam Khan returned to the pavilion with zero runs. Apart from this, Babar Azam got out after scoring 44 runs off 43 balls.

Pakistan has decided to field 4 fast bowlers in the match against America. In the national team, captain Babar Azam, Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi and Usman Khan included.
