Internet services in certain regions of Pakistan are currently disrupted due to an issue with the global submarine cable SMW4, according to a spokesperson for the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The SMW4 cable is one of the seven submarine cables that provide Pakistan with international internet connectivity. This disruption could result in reduced internet speeds during peak times.

The PTA spokesperson stated that an international company responsible for the cable’s maintenance is working to identify and repair the fault.
