The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) unveiled potential designs for new currency notes across all denominations on Thursday. These designs were selected from submissions made by citizens as part of an art competition organized by the SBP.
In a statement, the central bank expressed its appreciation for the local artists and designers who showcased their creativity in this significant project.
The SBP explained that a committee of experts conducted a thorough evaluation process to shortlist the designs. These selected designs are now being shared with international designers, who will collaborate with the central bank on the final currency notes.

The statement added that the SBP will ensure the new banknote series represents the nation’s rich cultural heritage and progressive vision, with hopes that the final designs reflect this collaborative effort.
It also mentioned that winners of the competition will receive prize money, as previously announced, in recognition of their contributions to this significant national project.
