PESHAWAR: Pakistan’s youngest five-year-old martial artist Sufyan Mehsud breaks another Guinness World Record of India.
The youngest Pakistani martial artist Sufyan Mehsud holds India’s world record for most elbow-to-knee steps.
“The most knee to elbow steps in 30 seconds (Under 16s) is 79, and was achieved by Sufiyan Mehsood (Pakistan) in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan on 20 October 2024,” Guinness World Record said in a statement.
India’s Juwairiya P had the record of 54 elbow-to-knee strikes in 30 seconds while Sufyan Mehsud broke the Indian record by a huge margin for hitting 79 elbow-to-knee steps in stipulated time.
Sufyan Mehsud is Pakistan’s youngest Guinness World Record holder.
Earlier, Sufyan Mehsood achieved the feat together with his father Irfan Mehsood, and set a record of 7.87 seconds to climb around a person.
Sufyan Mehsud is the son of Irfan Mehsud who holds over 100 Guinness world record titles.
Irfan Mehsud has so far broken the records of 16 countries, including India, Britain, United States, China, Norway, Germany, France, Finland, the Philippines, Spain, Egypt, Italy, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria.
Earlier in August, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had met with Sufyan and his father at Prime Minister House.
“Sufyan Mehsud made Pakistan and his parents proud by making it to the Guinness Book of World Records at a young age,” PM Sharif was quoted as saying by his office.
“The talented youth of Pakistan offer a guarantee for the country’s bright future,” Sharif added.
