HONG KONG: Pakistan has secured a spot in the final four of the Hong Kong World Super Sixes tournament on Saturday.

Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals after defeating South Africa by 17 runs in their third consecutive match played in Mongkok.

Choosing to bat first, Pakistan scored 105 runs in the allotted 6 overs, captain Faheem Ashraf and Asif Ali were dismissed for ducks. Muhammad Akhlaq showed aggressive batting and scored 52 runs in 16 deliveries. He hit 7 sixes and 2 fours. Hussain Talat remained not out by scoring 27 runs.

Chasing the total, South Africa target did not start well, and managed to make only 88 runs. captain JJ Stams got out with 6 runs while Jacques Snyman got out with 5 runs, Evan Jones played a resisting innings of 46 runs.

It should be noted that Pakistan is unbeaten in the tournament and has won all three matches, first defeating UAE, then arch-rivals India and then South Africa.
