Pakistani women’s volleyball player Azra Farooq has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the prestigious Kings Cup Volleyball tournament held in the Maldives.

Representing the Milton Keynes-based MK Club, Azra Farooq delivered an exceptional performance, leading her team to victory in all four of their matches and securing the tournament title.

Azra’s dominance on the court was evident as she was named the best player in each of the four games, a feat that earned her six individual trophies: four Player of the Match awards, the MVP award, and recognition as one of the tournament’s top six players.

These accolades are a significant source of pride, not only for Azra but also for Pakistan’s women’s volleyball community. Her achievements underscore the potential of Pakistani women athletes to excel and leave a lasting impact on the international stage.

This tournament marked Azra’s second stint with a club in the Maldives. Previously, she and fellow athlete Muqaddas Bukhari made history as the first Pakistani women to be signed by an international volleyball club when they joined the Al-Fawz club for the MZC Ladies’ Cup.

Azra’s remarkable journey and success in the Kings Cup highlight the growing presence and influence of Pakistani women in international sports, inspiring a new generation of athletes back home.
