In an unexpected incident, India’s wicket-keeper, Sanju Samson, unintentionally hit a female fan with a strong six, leading to a poignant scene as she was visibly moved and in tears.

The incident occurred in the 10th over of the first innings, where Samson delivered a striking performance.

Sanju Samson played brilliantly in India’s fourth T20I against South Africa in Johannesburg on November 15. It was his second century of the series.

What happened?

The ball sailed over deep mid-wicket but ended up striking the woman directly on her face. The fan was visibly distressed as she was given some ice to apply on the injury.

Even Sanju looked extremely apologetic when he realised that the fan was injured and the video of the entire incident has already gone viral on social media.

The Indian cricketer showcased an outstanding performance, amassing 109 runs from just 56 balls, featuring 6 fours and an impressive 9 sixes. His outstanding performance propelled India to a commanding 135-run triumph against South Africa.

Sanju Samson achieved a remarkable feat by scoring his second century of the series and third overall in T20 internationals, making history as the first wicketkeeper to hit three centuries in T20Is.

In a stunning display of skill, India dominated South Africa by 135 runs in the fourth T20I, securing a decisive victory in the four-match series with a final score of 3-1.
